Rabbi Shmuel Avraham Shapira Press
Slavita, 1827
Tikkun Leil Shavuos and Hoshanah Rabbah based on the order of the Shelah Hakadosh with the kavanos of the Holy Names as taught by the Arizal.

Printed by Rabbi Shmuel Avraham Shapira, son of Rabbi Moshe Shapira Av Beis Din of Slavita and son of the holy Admor Rabbi Pinchas of Koritz.

Part of the title page is in red ink.

Beyond the title page, the printer writes that he endeavored to print the sefer in a proper manner so the reader can run through it, "because it has stood by us in every generation, upholding the banner of Torah so that it should never be forgotten among Klal Yisrael. Accordingly, we have prepared this sefer to be clear and accessible to all, and especially cherished by Chassidim and devout individuals for the sacred custom of reciting Mishneh Torah on the nights of Shavuos and Hoshana Rabbah."

The page after the title page contains the story of the miraculous revelation of the angel from Heaven to Rabbi Yosef Karo and Rabbi Shlomo Elkabetz (composer of Lecha Dodi) during their intense learning on the night of Shavuos.

Slavita, 1827.
Page Count: [2], 134 leaves. Size: 20.5 cm. Condition: Adhesions and wear on a few leaves. Minor restorations to the title page. Binding holes in the inner margins, in a few cases affecting isolated letters. Overall good. New leather binding (used).

Shapira Press
The sefarim printed in Slavita and Zhitomir by the Shapira family were enthusiastically received by chassidic tzaddikim. Rebbes and devout chassidim longed to pour out their hearts before the Creator using siddurim printed with sanctity and purity by the Shapira family press.
The holy Rebbe, author of Shomer Emunim, wrote: "Every God-fearing person should strive to acquire old printed sefarim… especially from the Slavita and Zhitomir presses of the descendants of the holy Rabbi of Koritz, who were supremely holy printers." (Taharas Hakodesh Chapter 6)
