"דדא ביה כולא ביה"

"He who has this, has it all."
Sefer Kol Bo
Venice, 1567

A foundational halachic sefer from the era of the Rishonim, ‘Kol Bo’ is cited frequently in both the Beis Yosef and Shulchan Aruch. The identity of its author is unknown.

This is an early edition of the sefer, printed during the lifetime of the greatest halachic authorities, the Beis Yosef and the Rema.

The title page features the aristocratic emblem of the printer, Giorgio de Cavalli: a war elephant bearing a tower with soldiers atop it (see Diglei HaMadpisim HaIvri’im, no. 34).

Venice, 1567. Page Count: 4, 158 leaves.
Condition: Some holes and stains, slight wear on the title page. Otherwise, in good condition. Fine new leather binding.

The title page features the signature of Rabbi Shimshon Kohen Modon (d. 1727), one of the Rabbanim of Mantua and a disciple of Rabbi Yehuda Briel. He possessed a prominent library that included rare manuscripts and hard to find printed sefarim.
